映画評論家の夫と元精神科医の妻。仲むつまじく暮らしていた二人だったが、妻が認知症を発症してからは徐々に意思疎通が難しくなっていた。離れて暮らす息子は彼らを心配するが、その一方で金銭的に困窮している彼は両親に金を無心する。やがて妻の認知症は日を追って症状が重くなり、心臓に持病を抱える夫は追い詰められていく。
